Phlebotomist
Full-time, Dunmore

Requirements:
- One (1) year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.
- BLS is required and must be completed prior to the end of the orientation period, a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License is required.
- Completion of a formal training course in phlebotomy procedures from an accredited school or training program is preferred.
- Public relations skills; verbal ability to communicate with patients; finger and manual dexterity to handle small equipment; finger sensitivity to locate veins.
About the Job:
- Draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis.
- May conduct interviews, take vital signs, and draw and test blood samples to screen donors at blood bank.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and certification by a nationally recognized body.
- Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
