Job Summary
The Vice President, Region 1 Operations is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of the region's operations to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and alignment with organizational goals. This role collaborates with executive leadership and department heads to implement strategies that drive operational excellence, enhance service delivery, and improve financial performance across the division. The VP leads operational initiatives, fosters a culture of continuous improvement, and ensures compliance with all regulatory standards.
Essential Functions
- Oversees all operational activities within the region, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic objectives and performance standards.
- Provides leadership and direction to department heads and operational teams, ensuring operational goals are met and performance is continuously improved.
- Develops and implements operational strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency, productivity, and service delivery.
- Collaborates with executive leadership to create and execute short- and long-term operational plans, ensuring alignment with financial and organizational goals.
- Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing operational data to identify trends, resolve issues, and drive improvement initiatives.
- Oversees the development of budgets and financial plans, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining quality and service standards.
- Drives the adoption of technology and process improvements to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve outcomes.
- Fosters a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging teams to seek out new methods and practices to enhance operational performance.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders, including senior leadership, external partners, and vendors, to support operational success.
- Manages and mentors division leaders, promoting professional development and succession planning within the division.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required
- Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration required
- More than 10 years of experience in operations management, with at least 5-7 years in a senior leadership role required
- 7-9 years of successful acute care hospital CEO or similar level experience acute care hospital CEO experience required
- Multi-acute care hospital oversight preferred
- Proprietary acute care hospital system experience preferred
- Proven leadership and management skills with a track record of driving operational excellence and achieving organizational goals.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret operational data and implement improvements.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to translate organizational goals into actionable operational plans.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with executives, department heads, and other stakeholders.
- Experience in leading large teams and managing cross-functional projects.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to operations management.
