Job Summary

The Senior Director, Strategy & Development leads initiatives to assess, grow, and optimize performance in utility or non-core markets. This role serves as a strategic partner to corporate and market leaders, evaluating new opportunities, partnerships, and investments that align with the organization's broader growth strategy. The Senior Director brings a flexible, analytical approach to a range of evolving priorities across geographic and business lines.

Essential Functions
  • Develops and implements growth strategies for utility or emerging markets aligned to enterprise priorities.
  • Evaluates market trends, demographic shifts, and performance indicators to identify strategic opportunities.
  • Leads due diligence and business case development for expansion efforts, joint ventures, or new market entry.
  • Coordinates across departments to ensure strategic initiatives are resourced and executed effectively.
  • Builds relationships with local and regional leaders to understand market dynamics and align strategies.
  • Monitors and reports on initiative performance, adjusting plans as needed to ensure objectives are met.
  • Supports long-term planning efforts, including scenario modeling and risk analysis.
  • Prepares executive-level briefings and board-ready materials on market strategy and performance.
  • Facilitates alignment between corporate strategic goals and market-level operational execution.
  • Advises on regulatory, financial, or competitive factors influencing utility market strategy.
Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Health Administration, or related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience in corporate strategy, business development, or healthcare operations.
  • Experience working in or supporting diverse geographic markets or complex business portfolios preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize across multiple work streams.
  • Knowledge of healthcare trends, payer models, and market dynamics.
