Job Summary

As a member of the Cybersecurity organization, the Cybersecurity Senior Engineer will design, develop, configure, and implement solutions to resolve intermediate to complex technical and business issues related to Cybersecurity. The Cybersecurity Senior Engineer will lead efforts to assess Cybersecurity risks, identify vulnerabilities, and implement advanced mitigations to protect critical systems and data. This role involves reviewing and consulting on the security of technology solutions to address intermediate to high-level technical and business challenges, ensuring compliance with organizational standards. The Senior Engineer will also design, develop, and implement new processes and solutions, integrating them into existing or newly defined architecture and business processes. Providing support across multiple Cybersecurity functions of intermediate to high complexity, the Cybersecurity Senior Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for one or more technical solutions, offering guidance and leadership within the organization. Strong analytical, communication, and technical leadership skills are essential to excel in this role.

Essential Functions
  • Leads the design, configuration, implementation, and troubleshooting of data protection and data minimization techniques, adhering to business practices and data retention policies and standards.
  • Works with departments and key stakeholders to develop and enhance data minimization, ensuring alignment with business needs in order to reduce the overall CHS data footprint.
  • Develops and maintains comprehensive documentation for processes, technologies, and solutions that improve team efficiency as it relates to unstructured and structured data for data at rest protections.
  • Develops strategies to enhance Cybersecurity controls, improving visibility and response to threats across healthcare assets.
  • Designs and provides guidance in the application and reporting of data protection technology performance metrics.
  • Provides mentorship and advanced technical guidance to associate and mid-level engineers and enterprise teams, enhancing overall security practices.
  • Actively participates in the creation of Product/Capability Roadmaps, contributing to the strategic development of Cybersecurity initiatives and Product/Capability Roadmaps that mature the organization with respect to the different Data Protection sub-domains (Data-In-Motion, Data-In-Use,
    Data-At-Rest) Business and Soft Skill expectations:
    • Communicates effectively with management, stakeholders, and external partners, ensuring transparency and collaboration
    • Demonstrates strong leadership in managing multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
    • Maintain complete confidentiality of company business.
    • Communicate with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems (or other related field), or equivalent work experience.
Required Experience

Duration:
  • 8+ years of IT or information security, and 3+ years of Data Protection technology
Preferred Experience:
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance statutes in regards to data protection.
    Healthcare experience is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
  • CISSP, CCSP, GCSA
