Job Summary

Job Summary
The Supervisor RN, Specialty Clinics is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of one or more specialty clinics, ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality patient care and clinical services. This role supervises clinical staff, supports providers, coordinates clinic workflows, and promotes compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and clinical standards. The Supervisor collaborates with clinic leadership to optimize operations, improve patient access and experience, support staff development, and maintain safe, effective clinical practices.
Essential Functions
- Supervises the daily operations of one or more specialty clinics, ensuring efficient workflows, appropriate staffing, and the effective delivery of patient care and clinical services.
- Serves as a clinical resource for nursing staff, providers, and other clinic personnel, assisting with complex clinical situations, answering procedural questions, and ensuring compliance with clinical protocols and standards of practice.
- Supports specialized procedures and patient populations within the specialty clinic, providing clinical oversight and assistance within the Registered Nurse scope of practice.
- Ensures accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters in the electronic health record (EHR), reinforcing best practices for clinical documentation and coding accuracy.
- Assists with the onboarding, training, scheduling, and ongoing development of clinic staff, ensuring adherence to organizational policies, workflows, and clinical standards.
- Monitors compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, quality, and regulatory standards, identifying and addressing opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborates with providers, clinic leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to troubleshoot operational challenges, improve workflows, and enhance clinic efficiency.
- Oversees supply and equipment management, ensuring appropriate inventory levels and coordinating replenishment as needed.
- Serves as a primary point of contact for clinic operational issues, partnering with leadership to resolve patient flow concerns and implement process improvements.
- Provides guidance on complex scheduling, patient follow-up, care coordination, and other operational activities to support efficient clinic operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- Supervision and Staff Management
- Supervises, trains and oversees departmental staff.
- Schedules employees to ensure effective use of resources. Consults with Manager or Director on staffing issues.
- Assists with and contributes to performance evaluations and goal setting.
- Strategic Planning and Financial Oversight
- Assists in managing departmental budget ensuring cost-effective operations while maintain high quality service.
- Monitors expenditures, ensuring cost-effective delivery of services.
- May contribute to evaluation and implementation of new technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
- May contribute to development of departmental policies, procedures and protocols.
- Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance
- Ensures compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies.
- May participate in audits, inspections and accreditation processes as applicable.
- Follows established quality control practices to ensure accuracy, consistency and safety.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Works closely with leadership teams to coordinate and improve service delivery.
- Stays up-to-date with industry advancements, new technologies, and regulatory changes.
- Staff Responsibilities
- May work in a staff role, when required. Ensures that duties and responsibilities are fulfilled while meeting all competencies established for that job.
- Associate Degree or higher in Nursing required
- 1-2 years of related experience in the profession required
- 1-2 years of previous leadership experience preferred
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and manage cross-functional relationships.

- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required
- BLS - Basic Life Support required
