Job Summary

The Education Coordinator develops and implements educational programs and initiatives for nursing and allied health students at undergraduate and graduate levels under the supervision of the Clinical Education Director, Manager, or designee. This position ensures clinical learning opportunities meet educational and regulatory standards by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. The Education Coordinator is responsible for overseeing student clinical assignments, maintaining compliance with CHS, facility, and state requirements, and supporting a robust pipeline of future healthcare professionals.

Essential Functions
  • Develops and coordinates clinical training experiences for nursing and allied health students, ensuring alignment with academic institution objectives and facility needs.
  • Serves as the primary liaison between academic institutions and the healthcare facility to facilitate effective partnerships and communication.
  • Collaborates with nursing and department leadership to manage student and preceptor assignments, ensuring alignment with both academic and organizational goals.
  • Maintains compliance training records for all students, ensuring they meet regulatory and organizational requirements before and during clinical rotations.
  • Participates in the clinical affiliation agreement process, ensuring agreements are up-to-date and meet all regulatory standards.
  • Provides orientation for students, introducing them to the facility, department, and clinical expectations.
  • Coordinates multidisciplinary healthcare team input to deliver comprehensive training experiences appropriate to student learning objectives and experience levels.
  • Reviews and maintains student records in compliance with affiliation agreements, state regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Provides required educational reports and information to internal stakeholders and external regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources to support recruitment and retention initiatives for nursing and allied health students, fostering a robust pipeline of future graduates.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience as a preceptor or clinical educator working with nursing or allied health students or new graduates required
  • 1-3 years of experience as an academic nursing or allied health instructor preferred

  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to clinical education and affiliation agreements.
Licenses and Certifications
  • RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support required
