Job Summary

The Manager, Clinical Informatics is responsible for organization, project/program management, and monitoring of the successful development and implementation of all projects and programs as assigned by Clinical Informatics leadership. This includes but is not limited to project and program control processes such as ownership and coordination of the project/program deliverables management process, production of overall program status reports, and day-to-day oversight of key special projects.

Essential Functions
  • Actively and professionally communicates with all Service Line Business Partners and other CHS departments to manage multiple project and team member relationships to accomplish project goals
  • Authors/facilitates strategic documents such as project Charters, Education and Communication plans, detailed project plans, implementation toolkits, and present program and project updates/presentations to project Stakeholders and Business Partners within assigned projects, programs, or initiatives.
  • Proactively identifies and manages project and program-level risks and issues via documented project / program risk and issue processes.
  • Proactively manages the deliverables and change management processes for assigned programs and projects.
  • Provides management, either directly or indirectly, of Project Management staff to assure quality of work and integration of team members' work.
  • Mentors staff in project management and controls.
  • Facilitates decision-making that is required for progress on projects and programs.
  • Assures quality assurance and ensure projects and programs meet all audit expectations.
  • Be actively involved in business case development for projects/programs within the organization as necessary.
  • Acts as a single point of contact and accountability in coordination with Clinical IS and IT development and implementation initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management/Administration, or other comparable Bachelor's Degree required
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • 7-9 years of project management experience in managing multiple projects and programs to successful completion across multiple hospitals, business offices, or health systems, preferably in healthcare revenue cycle required
  • 4-6 years of management experience required
  • Experience leading large-scale system implementations preferred
Licenses and Certifications
  • Portfolio Management Professional (PMP) required
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification-IASSC preferred
