Job Summary
The Manager, Rehabilitative Services assists the Director in the management/direction of rehab services within the Rehabilitation Services Department, including quality improvement, program development, and marketing promotions. This role also assists the Director to complete performance appraisals, make staff assignments and administer departmental records. The Rehab Manager must foster superior customer service relationships within the rehabilitation department, Health System, and the local community while maintaining patient/customer confidentiality.

The Rehab Manager must foster superior customer service relationships within the rehabilitation department, Health System, and the local community while maintaining patient/customer confidentiality.
Essential Functions
- Performs patient assessment. Established plan of care. Assesses the effectiveness of treatment and modifies treatment to achieve goals. Provides care in accordance with physician's orders and established plan of care. Assesses educational needs of the patient, family, caregiver or significant other and provides education to meet those needs. Plans for discharge. Communicates with patient, family, caregivers, significant other, and members of the healthcare team to promote maximum benefit of care. Completes all documentation required to support the services provided and meet organizational, clinical and reimbursement requirements.
- Utilizes effective interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, fellow workers, medical staff and visitors. Demonstrates behavior standards established in Community Cares.
- Attends staff meetings, providing input and evaluation into unit strategic plans, operations and performances improvement. Cognizant of environmental factors, infection control issues and maintains a safe environment. Promotes good public relations for the department and the hospital while maintaining patient/customer confidentiality. Applies and implements the philosophy, goals and objectives of the facility.

- Demonstrate ability to work independently within scope. Assures standards set forth by state. The Joint Commission and other agencies are met. Active on selected committees for the purpose of exchanging information and participating in performance improvement.
- Performs patient evaluation procedures, develops and implements treatment plans, and plans for measureable patient outcomes.
- Delegates the implementation of treatment plans to the respective therapy assistant, as appropriate.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- Bachelor's Degree In Physical or Occupational therapy required
- 3-5 years experience as a practicing therapist required
- 1-2 years prior supervisory experience required
- Knowledge of rehabilitation services and patient care
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to develop and implement treatment plans
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Experience in project management and strategic planning
- Commitment to continuous improvement and quality assurance
- Ability to mentor and develop staff
- Familiarity with healthcare technology and equipment
- Ability to work in fast-paced ever-changing environment
- Strong computer skills
- PT - Physical Therapist In the required state required or
- OT - Occupational Therapist - Registered In the required state required and
