Job Summary

The Clinical Informatics AMR position focuses on creating, implementing, and assessing training programs for healthcare staff on Ambulatory Medical Record Systems (AMR) systems. This role is essential in empowering clinical staff to use AMR tools effectively, thereby improving patient care and optimizing workflows. This position will work as part of a high functioning multi-disciplinary team to integrate disparate clinical and operational data to enhance patient care. This person will be responsible for driving innovation and continuous improvement of our business and clinical informatics platforms as they relate to customer needs and meeting company roadmap objectives and outside data demands for reporting quality.

Essential Functions
  • Enhances the AMR growth and development for end users focusing on technical acuity and mutli-tool integration while caring for patients. Communicates recommendations and best practice workflows for the utilization of approved tools.
  • Conducts education sessions in person or remotely (individual or group) using appropriate and standard methods, e.g. demonstrations, role-play, computer simulations, etc.
  • Performs Onsite competency assessments of AMR workflows (both clinical and non-clinical) that have been accepted as standard best practice for efficiency and quality and will assist leadership with any resulting action plans to correct deficits.
  • Collaborates with local practice leadership to communicate AMR changes or significant AMR related information to staff and clinicians.
  • Uses Clinical Informatics tools and dashboards to perform regularly scheduled utilization assessments (clinicians and clinical staff). These assessments will identify the gaps in knowledge, gaps in build, gaps in workflows, and gaps in utilization.
  • Collaborates with the Quality teams and local market MU/Quality champions to target utilization that promotes meeting all applicable Quality measures (ACI, MACRA, MIPS, etc.).
  • Conducts content analysis studies and confers with Directors, Managers, and Corporate AMR Director to determine AMR build needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Science or 5 years' experience as Certified MA or LPN using an AMR required
  • 2-4 years experience in Clinical Informatics required
  • 1-2 years experience in training and utilization reviews required
  • 1-3 years experience in coordination and implementation of AMR, clinical workflow design or redesign, HL7 interfaces and report writing. required
  • 1-3 years experience working with multi-disciplinary clinical teams and project teams. preferred
  • 1-3 years experience using, implementing, optimizing, and/or supporting an EHR and Microsoft Office based application proficiency preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Knowledge of the organization's policies, procedures, systems, and objectives
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
  • Ability to work well with others in a dynamic environment.
Licenses and Certifications
  • AthenaNet or Cerner Ambulator required or
  • MA Certification required
  • LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure required or
  • RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required
